Obstetric Osteopathy
Osteopathy in obstetrics can help women during pregnancy by addressing musculoskeletal pain or other symptoms linked to pregnancy.
During pregnancy massive changes occur in a woman’s body: tissues become softer, organs change size and position, and the body’s posture has to adapt to all these changes. The hormones produced in pregnancy cause ligaments to loosen and this may cause old problems to reoccur or new tensions to develop.
Osteopathy can help with problems such as
Lower back pain
Sciatic pain or any other nerve compression
Symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD)
Pelvis girdle pain (PGP)
Rib pain
Digestif discomfort such as reflux, nausea, constipation
